My involvement in Rabatex goes beyond leadership – I am actively engaged in the company’s overall operations at the top management level to ensure we consistently deliver maximum value through our products and services. I also head the R&D division, where our team is continuously working on developing new products and components that strengthen our offerings and help us stay aligned with evolving customer and industry requirements.

Built on Precision: Our Legacy from Crankshafts to Innovation
Rabatex’s story began in 1962 when the company started manufacturing precision engineering components, including crankshafts for textile machinery and sub- assemblies for textile processing equipment.
Rooted in 1974, Rising Ever Since
Rabatex industries was formed on February 16th 1974. The company started its operation with manufacturing of the precision parts based on textile industries and engineering sector.”
The initial period might not have been very encouraging in terms of turnover but Rabatex at least had the satisfaction of introducing ourselves as a precision parts manufacturer in Textile industries C engineering Sector. Later on company has developed its first indigenous screen setting machine for printing
During the early 1970s, the company expanded its operations to include manufacturing precision valves for multinational corporations (MNCs) for export, particularly to the US markets. This early international exposure laid the foundation for Rabatex’s future global expansion.
Company has developed a sectional warping machine for slow speed weaving machine with its own know-how and experience which was a great success. The company had first time introduced a new concept in sectional warping in India.
At the same time in 1983, company has also developed its fully indigenous high speed sectional warping machine with latest know-how and technology we are thankful to our valued customers for their co-operation and reposing their faith on us.
The company has developed its “spindle driven direct warping machine” first time in India and which was successfully installed and working in leading textile denim plants With proud, we say, that we were to develop this type of direct warper in India with our own technical know-how.
In 1988, company had developed a warp sizing machine with latest features and its own technical know-how which is a new concept in India for cotton industries.
Debuting a Groundbreaking Concept
In the early years of this decade, the company introduced a new concept in quick-flow systems for material handling and storage equipment, specifically for the weaving preparatory department. It developed various types of hydraulic, foot-operated material handling and storage equipment. These innovations were well-received by the Indian textile industry. We are proud to be associated with many reputed textile groups, several of whom placed repeat orders for certain models.
During this period, we also began exporting sectional warping machines and material handling equipment to countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe. At Rabatex Industries, we remain aware of changing trends and emerging fabric concepts in the textile industry. Our R&D team continues to work rigorously with a clear goal — to offer revolutionary warping solutions to the Indian weaving preparatory sector.
Modernized mills in India once relied heavily on monopolized overseas markets for advanced weaving preparatory machinery. Foreign suppliers took advantage of this dependence, often squeezing the Indian industry. It was during this time that we launched the VM-107 Electromatic sectional warping machine. This model proved to be a breakthrough for the technology-starved Indian market and was recognized with an award for its innovative features.
Despite this success, European machines still dominated the market. Our R&D team remained committed to not only matching global standards but also surpassing them. In 1999, we launched the VM-108 Servomatic — a multi-point servo drive sectional warping machine. This high-tech innovation marked a turning point. With the introduction of this model, the exploitation by a few European manufacturers came to an end.
The VM-108 represented a technological revolution. The natural silk industry in Bangalore, once reliant on imported machines, adopted our model. Premium shirting manufacturers followed suit. Detailed technical features of this machine are included in Annexure RI.
In addition, we developed the RI-106 Economatic — a cost-effective yet technically advanced warping machine designed for the decentralized sector of the textile industry. Despite its affordable price, it comes with high-speed performance, a solid metallic drum, AC inverter, and hydraulic brakes. It caters to units that cannot invest in high-tech computerized machines but still seek advanced and efficient solutions.
Since its launch, the RI-106 has gained rapid popularity. In a short time, over 200 machines have been sold across key textile hubs like Bhilwara, Bhiwandi, Tarapur, Ulhasnagar, Ichalkaranji, and Surat.
Rabatex group of industries now produce 8 models of sectional warping machines. Our group also offers a wide range of material handling equipment suited to all needs.
The company started its operation with a mere strength of 5 men workforce now employs more than 200+ persons directly under its 4 manufacturing plants and 15 ancillary units.
Realizing the needs that may be set by the future ahead and so as to cater the ever growing demand by the weaving preparatory industry for improvement we are rigorously pursuing our R & D work.
How can we, the Rabatex Group with its more than 50 years of active existence, forget its patrons? We are showing our capabilities as a force to reckon with. Now we have come out with our new entities, i.e., by upgrading our PLC-based sectional warpers and battery- operated beam handling trolleys. We are still pursuing our latest R&D network so that we are ahead of time and do not lag behind in rendering the best to our clientele.
The Polybeamer exclusively designed for flat warp, warping machine for technical textiles, and creels for Geo Fabrics are some of the achievements we could deliver to our clientele in this decade.
In line with our vision to expand beyond conventional boundaries, Rabatex has also introduced the VLM – Vertical Lift Module, a cutting-edge automated storage and retrieval system. Designed to maximize vertical space utilization, streamline inventory management, and enhance operational efficiency, the VLM represents our entry into the next generation of intelligent intralogistics solutions. It marks another milestone in our continued evolution, serving not just the textile sector but a wide range of industries with advanced automation.

During this decade, Rabatex successfully developed and introduced a range of advanced fabric sampling machines, offering comprehensive solutions such as small-width fabric weaving machines, single-end warpers, cone-to-cone sizing equipment, and short-length sample warpers. These innovations featured unique capabilities designed to ensure precision and efficiency in fabric sampling.
Notably, the small-width fabric weaving machine offered a 20-inch working width with a maximum sampling length of 30 meters. It was equipped with auto weft selection and advanced control systems to ensure consistent fabric quality. These state-of-the-art sampling machines were quickly adopted by leading textile mills across India and international markets, effectively serving as a reliable import substitute for sampling applications.
The success of these machines further strengthened Rabatex’s reputation as a leader in technological innovation within the textile machinery industry.
The Monofilament Era
Rabatex achieved a major technological breakthrough with the introduction of
the Mother Mono Yarn Split Sectional Warping Machine. This innovative solution eliminates the conventional cop winding process by enabling direct splitting and winding of mother yarn onto beams. The result is significantly enhanced operational efficiency and greater flexibility, particularly suited for high-tech and technical textile production.
As of mid-2024, Rabatex successfully completed 41 installations of this advanced machine across India withing 10 months, with 29 additional installations underway. This milestone further reinforces Rabatex’s position as a pioneer in textile machinery innovation and demonstrates its commitment to addressing the evolving demands of the technical textiles sector.
